Satellite TV To Launch A New Film Channel

Milan, 24th July: Sky Italia has announced to launch a new channel dedicated to local movies in order to keep itself ahead in the Italo dish market.

From July 31st, it will show Italian films from 1940s to 1990’s starting with Luchino Visconti’s “The Leopard”.

This move is the latest chapter in the bitter rivalry between media head Silvio Berlusconi’s Mediaset and Rupert Murdoch’s Sky. This comes just before the launch of joint RAI-Mediaset-La7 TivuSat satellite platform which is also scheduled on 31st July.

TivuSat, Dish TV provider will target 15-20 percent Italian households in the mountainous areas. People living in this area will not receive digital terrestrial television when the analog television is switched off in the year 2012. The satellite TV is seen as a revolutionary platform.

Some observers say that Sky Italia is worried about the rumors that Medusa, the major Italo content producer and film distributor owned by Mediaset might no longer deal with Murdock broadcaster. And by the end of this month, Sky Italia will learn if pubcaster RAI is to block the broadcast of its terrestrial channels on sky satellite dishes.

Analyst Alessandro Bai-Badino of Deutsche Bank quoted that everyone seems to against Sky at the moment. It is almost creating a nuisance in reference to its attacks on the Berlusconi government decision to raise VAT on the subscription of satellite TV.

The new channels of Sky would help boost the profile of Italian Cinema. Film personality Nanni Moretti said that as a viewer and a film buff he would like to thank Sky for bringing in a new film channel.

Music

I in particular I like more than just another style Metal but I do not deny that I like very different music styles from Cumbias to Mozart to techno music, ballads, rock, hip hop, rap, rancheras, etc.. And here is race where many different people to rappers, poperos. rock, etc.., they can not hear other music that they "still" is not who he thought chingada these ideas are so stupid and ignorant, if I like one or another type of music you just listen without hiding no man, do not get carried away by these customs and just stupid at all, if you like something just do it, well that is my humble opinion is not that you think ...

The truth here is if people with a catalog so that you by how you dress or what kind of music listeners, but I do not think is people who really know what it means freedom of expression which nosoros while we know and defend our rights to be free in all respects with that is enough, simply do not care what people say about you ...

I like Metal and I'm not interested if they see me one day listening to other music like hip hop, ballads, etc.. stopped by this bridge to be less than before or metal? not true, and the net just wanted to share my views on the subject, who does not read it or if someone read it but because it is good to see if any comment, bye ...

Mic Placement

It's hard to overstate the importance of selecting the right mic placement for your recordings. There are five basic choices: Spot miking, distant miking, ambient miking, stereo miking, and combined miking. In this article you will learn a little bit about each choice.

Spot Miking: This placement is also known as close miking for obvious reasons. It basically means that you are placing the mic close to what you are recording. It's often used to cut the room sound out of the recording. Most home recordists don't have an acoustically treated space to record in so they generally don't want much of the room sound.

A big reason that people choose spot miking is so that each instrument can be isolated when many instruments are being recorded at once. That will give you more flexibility when it comes to mixing.

You should note that the closer you place your mic to the source the more bass that is recorded.

Distant Miking: This usually means placing the mic about three or four feet from the source. People usually choose distant miking when they are trying to get a more natural sound.

The biggest negative with distant miking is if you are recording multiple instruments at once you may get "bleed" from another source which makes mixing more difficult.

Distant miking also means that more of the room sound will be recorded. Unless you have a good understanding of acoustics and your room is well treated then this is usually a bad thing.

Ambient Miking: This means you are placing the mic far away from the source that the room sound plays a big part in what you are recording. Clearly with this technique you will want to have a good sounding room.

Stereo Miking: This means recording with two mics to capture the stereo field of your source. One mic will be panned all the way left and the other all the way right.

If you want to take this concept to it's extreme then you want to look into binaural recording.

Combined Miking: As the name implies this means combining two or more of the above techniques. The possibilities are endless. I think it's a good idea to really master the top four techniques before you try to mix different techniques together.

One common technique is to mix a close mic with an ambient mic. That way you still get the attack from your source but you also get the ambiance that you want to capture. This can give you a nice natural reverb if you have a good sounding room.

Mic placement is an extremely important part of getting a good sound. It's important to learn how different mic placements sound and to keep experimenting with different placements until you get the sound that you want.
